Gimabled stove locks

Gimbaled stoves usually have a fixed kind of lock to keep the unit from moving back & forth. There are times that a variable lock would greatly improve safety when cooking underway. The balance point of some stoves changes when the door is opened thus causing pots full of boiling water to jump off the burner and onto the cook! Modify the locking mechanism so that it uses an eye strap affixed near the bottom/back of one side and another eye strap mounted on the adjoining cabinetry wall as far outboard as possible. Tie 2 pieces of light line to the stove eye strap. Run one through a tiny block attached to the other eye strap and lead it to a small jam or cam cleat attached to the cabinetry side wall near the front of the oven. Lead the 2nd piece of line directly to a 2nd jam or cam cleat mounted just below the first. I recommend either different colored line or different colored cleats (red and green). By pulling on the rear line you can swing the stove one direction. By pulling on the front line you can swing the stove the other direction. By locking both lines in place, the stove can be safely held at a particular angle while items are removed from the oven. Once finished, unlock both lines to allow it to swing again.
